Ambriel describes aromas of elderflower and lime blossom, followed by lively lemon freshness, a honeyed softness and fine bubbles.

Made entirely from selected Chardonnay clones harvested in October 2018, Wendling was bottled in May 2019 and disgorged in January 2025 after 5.5 years on its lees. Dosage: 7g/L.

Wendling Blanc de Blancs

We found Ambriel Wendling Blanc de Blancs 2018 at Corney & Barrow in Ayr, Scotland, and brought it home to enjoy with a grilled cheese sandwich and homemade tomato soup. A bottle of English sparkling wine from West Sussex, discovered on a visit to a Scottish wine merchant and shared around our own table.
