Silverhand Estate sits at Luddesdown in Kent, with its vineyards forming part of a 900-acre landscape of vines, pasture and woodland. Its name draws on the legend of King Ludd and the silver hand made for him.
The estate brings wine discovery together with visits to the countryside: guided vineyard and winery experiences, cellar-door tastings and opportunities to explore its history and conservation work.
The estate’s organic vineyard covers more than 600 acres in the Kent Downs National Landscape. A year-round conservation team cares for habitats alongside the vines.
Sheep graze between the rows, while English Longhorn cattle support pasture management and fertility. Silverhand describes its estate as carbon negative without offsets and reports B Corp certification in 2026.
WINEMAKER
Silverhand’s range includes sparkling and still wines. Silver Reign Brut and Organic Rosé use the Charmat method, with their second fermentation taking place in pressurised tanks. Classic Brut, Blanc de Blancs and KYNG use the traditional method, with fermentation and lees ageing in bottle.
