The Story

Janet and Rodney Pratt founded Bolney Wine Estate in 1972, starting with three acres of vines. The West Sussex estate has since expanded into still and sparkling wine production, with a vineyard shop, tours and dining overlooking the vines.

Our Terroir & Heritage

The Vineyards

Bolney’s visitor vineyard covers 18 acres in West Sussex, with free-draining sandstone soils. The estate produces red, white and rosé still wines, including Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, as well as traditional-method sparkling wines.

The Winemaker

WINEMAKER

Cara Lee Dely

Head winemaker Cara Lee Dely joined Bolney in 2021 after developing her career in South Africa. She leads the winery team making the estate’s still and sparkling wines.

OPENING & BOOKING

The vineyard shop is currently open daily from 9am–5pm. Café and restaurant hours vary through the week.
