The Story

Westwell is a family-run estate winery beneath the Pilgrims’ Way on the North Downs. Its range runs from traditional-method sparkling wines to pét-nats, skin-contact whites and amphora-aged wines.

Art is part of the estate’s identity too. Galia Pike’s label illustrations draw on vine wood, tractor trails and details from the winemaking process.

Our Terroir & Heritage

The Vineyards

Flint and sandy silt-loam sit over chalk at the Kent vineyard. Westwell grows Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Regent and Ortega, with small-scale production in its on-site winery.

The Winemaker

WINEMAKER

Adrian Pike

Adrian Pike is Westwell’s managing director and winemaker. Before wine, he worked in the music industry and co-founded the Moshi Moshi record label.

A bottle made by Will Davenport sparked his interest in English wine in 2014. He went on to study wine production and viticulture while working at Davenport, before taking on Westwell in 2017.

His approach combines traditional sparkling winemaking with experimentation, wild yeasts and minimal intervention. Small-scale production on the estate allows the team to follow each wine from the vineyard through fermentation and ageing to bottling.
