Great Missenden
Vyn Dene grew out of a shared interest in wine and the ambition to make English wines. Rather than being tied to a single estate, the brand works with grape growers and winemakers, with its first vintage produced in 2024.
Based in Great Missenden, its name draws inspiration from the Chilterns. The range includes Coral Rosé, Blanc and Bubbling Blanc, a Col Fondo sparkling wine. The focus is on small batches and a low-intervention approach.
Vyn Dene sells its wines online and meets customers at events. It does not operate a cellar door or a public visitor site.
Vyn Dene sources English grapes through grower partners rather than presenting an estate vineyard open to visitors. Its website introduces JoJo’s Vineyard and Coombe Bottom Farm among its growers. The 2024 Blanc and Bubbling Blanc use Pinot Blanc and Seyval Blanc from JoJo’s Vineyard.
WINEMAKER
Vyn Dene introduces Tommy Grimshaw as a collaborator on its 2024 vintage. His approach combines practical winery experience, low-intervention methods and an emphasis on blending. Vyn Dene also works with RAD Custom Winery, the home of the One Degree East range sold in its online shop.
