Ashford
Paul and Hester Fenwick returned to the UK with their family in 2012 and planted Brabourne Vineyard in 2014. Based at Court Lodge in the Kent Downs, the family-run estate produces small batches of still and sparkling wine.
Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grow on a gently sloping, south-west-facing site at the foot of the North Downs. The soils are chalky, and much of the vineyard work is done by hand.
WINEMAKER
Brabourne works with Kristin Syltevik and Salvatore Leone at Oxney Wine Estate, where its grapes are made into still and traditional-method sparkling wines.
