Andover Down
Chalkdown specialises in small batches of English sparkling wine. Rather than owning a vineyard, the team works with a small group of growers and chooses fruit according to the needs of each wine. Its current range includes a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Classic Cuvée and a Pinot Noir Rosé.
WINEMAKER
Winemaker Piotr adjusts the yeast, blend and time on the lees according to the fruit from each harvest. The wines are made in small batches and aged before release.
The Collection

Peach, apricot and honeysuckle meet a biscuity finish and crisp green-apple freshness. Made from 58% Chardonnay and 42% Pinot Noir harvested in 2020, with at least 30 months on lees. A lovely aperitif, also suited to fish and chips or tangy cheese.

Delicate pink sparkling wine with strawberry, cream, vanilla and summer-rose notes. Made entirely from 2020 Pinot Noir and aged for 26–29 months on lees, with fine bubbles and a soft texture. Enjoy with canapés, soft cheeses or summer-fruit puddings.
